Tzom is a neighbourhood hangout that enriches the cosmopolitan nature of Berlin and creates a second home with its cosy, family atmosphere. Here you can hear the sound of laughter and joy, accompanied by the exciting taste of the spices of Africa.

OUR MENU
From Asmara to Berlin

"A light shower of flour trickling from the edge of the table, the penumbra of a late summer afternoon after the monsoon, the smell of damp earth mixing with charcoal and the zigni boiling in the clay pot - impressions that are among the first memories of my childhood associated with the kitchen.

I often helped my grandma with dinner in the kitchen with the marble table in Asmara, as if it were a game. I was not yet six years old. Asmara is the city where I grew up and where my passion for food and cooking developed. For as long as I can remember, I have experienced in cooking the image of the uniqueness of my roots. Originally from Italy, my pioneer ancestors moved to Eritrea at the end of the XIX century and settled there.

When I was just over twenty, I decided to follow my passion for cooking and pursue this path professionally. The road to Berlin was long and not always easy, but finally, in the summer of 2014, TZOM opened successfully."
